Once he had changed into a vampire, se saw things differently, the sounds were also different. He even believed that one of the statues of the cemetery was alive and was looking at him.

A shining light appeared in the dark and made Sam visible to both Oda Mae and Molly. Sam appeared and leaned towards Molly and gave her a sweet and a tender kiss. While they were looking at each other, Oda Mae said that they ( the others) were waiting for him. Sam stood up, walked up to Oda and told he would miss her and that her mother would be proud of her. Then, both said goodbye. Sam turned back to Sally and said he loved her, to which she answered:"Ditto". Then he touched her face and walked away. Molly cried as he was walking backwards. Finally she said goodbye and he disappeared.

Scarlett was standing up little by little. She looked up the sky. While she was raising her fist, she said:" God is my witness. They're not going to lick me.I' m going to live through this and when it's all over I'll never be hungry again. No, not any of my folks. If I have to lie, cheat or kill, God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again." Then, she lowered her fist.

SAVING GRACE

An old lady was making some tea with some marijuana leaves while her friend was looking at some photos in the sitting-room. The first lady came with the teapot and said that the had a strong aroma. While she was drinking, Margaret answered the tea was delicious.
After that, a lawyer came into the store. At first he did not see anyone. He called and then the old ladies turned up with a cornflakes box in their hands and asked him if he would like some cornflakes. The lawyer said he was looking for Grace Trevettyn's place. THE GODFATHER

The meeting was in an Italian Restaurant; there I met a corrupt policeman and Sollozzo, my father´s enemy.
While we were waiting, the waiter served us the wine. After that, Sollozzo told the policeman he was going to speak in Italian, the policeman only said: “Go ahead”.
The first thing that Sollozzo told me was “Sorry” and I should have understood what had happened with my father. It was only business. He said that he had a lot of respect for my father but he must understand that he was an honour man; I told him it wasn’t necessary that he told me those things because I knew. While I was speaking in Italian the waiter served us the food.
While the policeman was eating we went on talking. Sollozzo was telling me he had helped the Tataglia family and he thought that we could come to an understanding. After that he asked me what I wanted and while I was thinking how to answer him in Italian, he told me: “What?”
So I told him in English: “What I want, what’s most important to me is that I have a guarantee no more attempts on my father´s life. He answered me what guarantee he could give me and he was the hunted one. He missed his chance and he called me kid. Finally he said he wasn’t clever and the only thing he wanted was a truce.
I told him that I had to go to the bathroom before saying something about what we were talking, so I said: is it all right?
Sollozzo looked at me surprised but the policeman told me: “When you got to go, you got to go”. So I went to the toilet. There I took a gun, I kept it in my jacket and I came back with the two men. Sollozzo was still talking while I was thinking about what to do, I was afraid. While Sollozzo was speaking, a train arrived outside so I stood up and first I shot Sollozzo and then the policeman. I was really scared so I threw the gun and I went out.

one of my favourite movies is "Life is Beautiful" because it is a hymm to life and love in general. I think it's impossible to see without emotion. Of course the music also seems wonderul.
Also, the movie "The Grandfather" seems to me a masterpiece, both interpretations of the actors as reenactments, music, quality, and how no, because of the subject.

ELENA dijo...

The scene of "Saving Grace" really like it because is very funny, the olds ladies are so funny too and all the film is positive and wonderful.
It reminds me of some afternoons with my friends.
The second place is a difficult decision because "Kill-Bill", "The Godfather" and "The life is Beautiful" ore three of my favourites films. I choose "The Godfather" because is a classic. The actors, the music, the script..., all is marvelous.
In the third position "The life is beautiful", the scenes choosen are well but I will choose other scene, for example when the Josua's father explain the norms of the concentration camp like a play.

First of all, I won't edit any of your comments. They'll be published warts and all.
For me , the best scene is from "Gone with the wind", Scarlet raising her fist and swearing she'll never be hungry again. It's the best image of what human determination is like.
Elena, you say that the scene from Saving Grace reminds you of some afternoons with your friends. Is it the kind of tea you often have when you are together?

LAURA dijo...

LAURA 1ºA:"LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL".I was the film.Ithink the father is more courageus and intelligent,he doesn,t wanted that his son knew.

One of my favorite films is "Gone to the wind",it´s a master piece like "Godfather". About the scene, it´s a classic. In my opinion it´s the scene everybody have in his head when you think in this film.
The second place is for "Interview with the vampire", because it´s a film that I love it, and it´s a great scene: the choice being human or vampire. But I prefer the book!!!;o)
And finally "The life is beautiful", but i´m agree with Elena, and I had chosen the scene when the Josua's father explain the norms of the concentration camp like a play. It´s really funny.

For me, the best of these (after the mine)is the scene of Gone to the Wind is the scene that we all have in mind when something in our life becomes too difficult, at least to me always seems to me Miss Scarlet and I laugh at myself.
In second place INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE because Anne Rice is one of my favorite writers and I liked the adaptation of this book.
All the others are wonderful and you can not choose between them.

The nick is the union of two names: Wanda and Kima, two cats, Wanda was red(she died) and Kima is black and white(14 years old)

Jesús Núñez Muñoz dijo...

Isla, I think Life is Beautiful is well worth watching. It is really moving. The first part is not really interesting, but when the action is in the concentration camp....
Wandaki, I see you really like cats!

There are good scenes here. The one I like more is “little miss sunshine”. It´s very funny. I watched that movie and I think it was splendid because it shows with humor and irony that kind of “beauty” contest in which parents seems to enjoy more than their children. Personally I don´t like them. Anyway, the movie is good since the beginning until the end, but this scene is the most representative.
The second I choose is from “Saving Grease”. I haven´t watch the movie, but I´m definitely going to do it, because that scene is very funny.
And the third, but not less important, is from “Life is beautiful”. It´s sweet the way of the father explains to his son about what was happened at that time.

Gloria H. dijo...

Sorry for send my coment at the last moment. I haven´t had free time before.

Jesús Núñez Muñoz dijo...

Don't worry Gloria. Better late than never!
